Hey folks:

Heads up on the Public Hearing at the Tam Valley Community Center.  See below.
This should be an exciting event - not to be missed.
Do they not want us to have social lives? Something of this magnitude with a weeks notice   minus a  Memorial day weekend? So.... basically we are looking at 4 days notification.....  Traffic not bad enough?

Who writes this stuff? Hollywood?  Wait no..... its a company from the East Bay trying to get their hands on Marin's money bag and demographic - aging population...... they did the stats.   1 in 3 seniors  are going to wind up with alzheimers/dementia.

They have hatched a really great plan for what?  A MEMORY CARE CENTER AT TAM JUNCTION.  40 feet high. 72 beds.  Extensive fencing around the property.

Wait .... there is more....... scores of  service workers,   from Richmond, Oakland, Santa Rosa.....hundreds of visitors per day at one of the most traffic and environmentally challenged spots in Marin - Flood, Fire, Liquifaction.
24/7  3 shifts OF CARE and SERVICE  WORKERS, hospice, dentist, doctors, nurses, barbers, beauticians, drivers of transportaion vehicles for appointments and outings, occupational, therapists ...... All employees will have to sign  waivers against being land locked there.  Add more folks to the Richmond bridge and Highway 101....

Let's not forget the construction trucks and years of building the noise, proximity to sea level rise flood areas..... no exit in an emergency because both Miller Ave. and Highway one that flood now several times a year soon to be several times a month.  In fact I remember days recently  they told folks to not get in their cars and drive through that area.

People unable to be evacuated in an emergency in high fire danger  area and with the Muir Woods, Highway One jams.

In the new flood scenarios, workers won't be able to get to the place....

BTW - No decrease in visitors to Muir Woods with the new res system, just spread out over a greater amount of time.... but add this to the mix when first responders are already freaking about a real emergency and now add  people wandering who don't know up from down.
The upland transition tidal zone will be impacted - further limiting adaptation. Its all about the money.  These places charge 90 to 120,000 per year. Depending on the type of  care/ a la carte prices can run it higher.
times 72 equals  about 7.2 million per year income and up.

This is the wrong place for this.   Please show up.
