History :
I started this blog in August of 2010 to make up for what I viewed as a lack of communication in our neighborhood about a (then) proposed Safe Routes to Schools sidewalk project. I sensed that the issue would not get too much coverage in the IJ, so I figured I could chronicle the events for my neighbors.
Somewhere between 2010 and 2012, it turned into a performance art project about bureaucracy and oligarchy.
-----------------
Since 2012, posts have been sporadic, depending upon needs of the community, available time and funding. Plus, we moved out of Homestead. Someday, we may return.

I used to make music more often than I do now, and remain grateful for evety moment of this gift of life.

p.s. Thanks to everyone who cast a vote in my direction on June 7th, 2016 It's good to know that at least 432 voters in District 4 have been paying attention.
For what it is worth, I supported Mr. Rodoni's candidacy and have found his staff to be responsive to public inquiries.
